Yvette here.
If you’re a fan like me, you watched with amazement as the Hornets nose-dived to a 58 point deficit against the Nuggets on Monday night.
Gee whiz people. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
As much as I wanted my team to win, I hated to see the Hornets just quit playing altogether. What’s up with that?
Anyone can see that they rely way too heavily on Chris Paul to set plays, score and do everything else. By the way Chris, will you give all that flopping a rest? I think you’ve got Genobili beaten.
I was able to make game 1 last weekend even though it had snowed heavily here in Denver the day before. (What month is this?)
Love the energy of the play-offs but it’s kinda bitter sweet for me because it also reminds me that the season is almost done until next fall.
Anyway, I’m anxiously awaiting the start of game 5 of the NBA play-offs Denver vs New Orleans to begin in a little more than an hour. I know I”ll be be dragging at work tomorrow since I get up at 3am and the game won’t end until about 11:30pm. To an outsider, it may seem like a no-brainer that the Nuggets will win game 5 tonight. My experience with the Nugs is that sometimes they let a big win (like the one in game 4) give them a false sense of security and they don’t start really playing until the 4th quarter like they did in game 3.
They dilly dallied around until the 4th quarter in game 3 and ran out of quarter before they could catch the Hornets. Hope they learned from that.
So team, all we gotta do is stay keep Chris Paul in check since none of the other Hornets feel like playing, keep our head in the game (especially J.R.), quit forcing the 3-pointers and play with urgency the entire game, not just the 4th quarter.
Hoping to go to work tomorrow with a smile on my face.
Don’t disappoint me.
Go Nuggets!
